Joann Mautz Celebrates 40 Years at MasterGraphics
June 9, 2009 - MADISON, Wis. - Joann Mautz, accounts receivable coordinator, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her employment at MasterGraphics this month.
Joann joined MasterGraphics in 1969 as an accounting temp and was shortly thereafter offered a full-time position. Since then, she's grown alongside the Madison-based company, holding myriad positions in the firm's Finance department, from accounts payable to retail sales throughout her tenure.
Joann has supported a host of changes within the company, including the shift in business focus from reprographics to retail and commercial sales of design data solutions for architects, engineers and manufacturers, and an evolution of accounting practices from paper and pencil to computer-based programs.
"I never thought I'd see the wide-spread use of computers in my lifetime," said Mautz, who is a resident of Madison. "When we first started talking about computers it had me scared to death, but I had to learn." Mautz credits the "beautiful people" she works with in helping her adjust to the ongoing changes and making work enjoyable.
