MasterGraphics Specialists to Discuss Building Information Modeling (BIM) at Building Industry Events in Chicago
Mar. 12, 2010 - Rolling Meadows, Ill. - MasterGraphics, design process experts and leading Midwest supplier of design data solutions for the building, manufacturing and civil engineering industries, has been invited to present to building industry professionals at three upcoming events.
At the first annual Chicago BIM Expo on March 18, Dwane Lindsey, Application Engineer at MasterGraphics, will address how building information modeling (BIM) data provided by Autodesk Revit software supports sustainable design, clash detection, construction planning, and fabrication.
At a seminar on New Government BIM Requirements, also on March 18, MasterGraphics Application Engineer David Webster will give an overview of how to create a model in Revit, and discuss some of the advantages a building information model has over traditional CAD drawings.
At the NFSA 2010 Annual Seminar on April 15 & 16, Webster will present "BIM 101" to the NFSA, detailing its relevance to the organization and the need for a change in both process and culture for the fire protection industry.
