Summary
This course will enable students to create basic floor plans, including walls, doors, and windows; create specialty objects like column & ceiling grids, stairs, and roofs; and generate elevations & sections. Students will learn how to use AEC content and to create details, as well as how to document their design with dimensions, other annotation, tags, and schedules. The course also introduces drawing management through the AutoCAD Architecture Project Navigator.
Who Should Attend
Architects, designers, facilities planners, drafters, plumbing & HVAC contractors, and others needing to work with construction documents generated with AutoCAD Architecture. This is an excellent class for new hires, for those who are first going to AutoCAD Architecture or for those who are returning users.
Objectives
The primary
objective of this courseware is to teach the student the basic commands
necessary for architectural design and drafting using AutoCAD Architecture.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000, XP, or Vista
- This course is designed for the user with a solid background in a current version of AutoCAD.
