Summary
This information packed class is specifically designed for principals and project managers who have the need to access, inspect, plan for and manage projects that will be utilizing Revit Architecture. The focus of the class will be an interactive overview of the design and documentation process in Revit honing in on the tools and guidelines essential for a successful project management. The process of design and construction is changing dramatically and a project manager must understand the new process and the tools by which he or she will accomplish their goals in order to properly propose services, estimate and plan for the execution of the project. The Revit for Project Managers class aims at providing the information necessary for project managers, directors and architects to better understand the capabilities of the software and the time involved in each phase of the project.

Recommended attendees include project architects, directors and managers and others who are in a project management role needing to understand an overview of Revit Architecture and the capabilities and potential of the software in order to better plan and manage a project.
Course Objective
After completing this advanced workshop, you will be able to do the following:
- Describe what makes Revit Architecture unique.
- Use the basic inter-face and features.
- Use Common Revit Terminology
- Open and Navigate a Revit Project
- Create and modify views of the Revit model.
- Use basic tools for sheets, printing, annotation and detailing.
- Work with proposals and fee structures inside of Revit
- Describe how Revit impacts staff and project teams
- Explain additional services Revit offers.
- Plan for issues during an integrated project delivery
- Apply general knowledge of third party support sites and software
- Manage and catalog your Revit content, (OPTIONAL)
Prerequisites
It is recommended that the student have a working knowledge of:
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000, or Microsoft® Windows® XP.
- Drafting, design, or engineering experience.
No previous CAD experience is required.
