Objectives
This class is intended for students who have completed the Revit Architecture Level 1 training and are ready to explore the more advanced features in the software. You will learn to use Revit® Architecture to create more complex models.
Who Should Attend
Architects, designers, facilities planners, drafters and others needing to work with construction documents generated with Revit Architecture who have completed the Autodesk Revit Building Level 1 or Revit Architecture class.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic Revit Architecture techniques, such as creating walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, stairs, views, and sheets, as well as adding components is assumed. You should also be able to use Revit's modification tools to efficiently copy and move objects and make changes to existing projects.
It is recommended that the student have a working knowledge of:
- Completion of Autodesk Revit Level 1 or Revit Architecture class combined with approximately 120 hours working with Revit Architecture recent version.
- Drafting, design, or engineering experience.

- Set up project phasing
- Create and display a variety of design options
- Use groups
- Link Revit files
- Import and export files, including exporting for energy analysis
- Understand, use, and set up worksets
- Create multiple-slope floors, roofs, and slabs
- Create curtain walls
- Work with site design and structural design tools
- Create and annotate details
- Create schedules, including material takeoff schedules
- Add keynotes and legends
- Work with advanced viewing tools
