Summary

This is a seminar style update class.

In this seminar style class you will focus on the expanded tools and improvements, and new look in AutoCAD® Civil® 3D 2009. You will learn how to take advantage the surface functionality that everyone's been asking for. You will experience how to work more effectively with large surfaces. This class will walk you through new tools and enhancements with feature lines, and pipes. You will find out how to label externally referenced data as though it is native to the drawing. You will learn enhancements for data shortcuts that will help managing data. You will finish the day discussing tools that will make you more efficient and productive with assemblies. There will be ample time question and answer.

Who Should Attend

Those who have taken a Civil 3D Essentials course, or have worked extensively, in a past release will benefit from the information shared in this course. Land Planners, municipal and city engineers or those interested in accessing the latest advantages that the software offers. This is an excellent class for continued employee development for companies seeking improved productivity.

It is recommended that if you have been away from the software for some time, you may benefit from the 4 day AutoCAD Civil 3D class. The four day class is hands-on and provides a foundation for using the software along with all the latest enhancements.

Objectives

The primary objective of the course is for students to take advantage of the new features that Civil 3D offers.

  • Microsoft® Windows® 2000, XP, or Vista.
  • Drafting, design, or engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of a recent Civil 3D release.
