Summary
This training course is intended for Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or AutoCAD Mechanical user who need to access their design files from Autodesk Vault. It is an introduction course for Autodesk Inventor users and will focus on Autodesk Vault's features for managing files and designs. Hands-on exercises are included to reinforce how to manage the design workflow process. Students are taught how to locate, view, modify, create and re-use files in Autodesk Vault.
Who Should Attend
Anyone using the Autodesk manufacturing software who will use Autodesk Vault, Autodesk Vault Workgroup, and Autodesk Vault Collaboration.
Note: The administrative function of setting up and maintaining Autodesk Vault is covered on a consulting basis.
Objectives
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Perform basic Autodesk Vault tasks and manage Autodesk Inventor files
- Track and manage versions of a design
- Integrate with other Autodesk Inventor Design management tools and work in a multi-user environment
Prerequisites
It is recommended that the student have a working knowledge of:
- A recent version of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Completion of Autodesk Inventor class is helpful.
- Drafting, design, or engineering or data management experience.
